Preparation is an Act of Generosity
Preparing yourself for emergencies is one of the best ways you can take care of your local community. And through our partnership with the World Community Service Program at the Los Altos Rotary Club, you can help us serve the global community.
1% of the proceeds from every PrepMeKit will help fund service programs around the world – with every penny going directly to those in need. Initially led by volunteers, these programs are designed to be run by the local community, with benefits lasting for generations:
✔ Gender Equality
✔ Environmental Health
✔ Sustainable Agriculture
✔ Clean Water & Sanitation
✔ Solar Energy Development
✔ Emergency Relief & Rebuilding
✔ Community Health & Telemedicine
✔ Economic Development & Income Generation
A note on our N95 fundraisers
Donated: 5,000 face shields and 1,200 masks
Recipients: Frontline medical workers in Bay Area and New York City hospitals
We want to give a heartfelt thank you to every single person who contributed to this initiative. We were floored by the degree of generosity shown at such an unprecedented and unnerving time, and by how quickly we were able to pull together to help our friends, families and loved ones on the front lines. When regular distribution systems fail, our efforts as communities save lives. Whether you donated, shared the fundraiser, or helped with research, administration, or delivery, you were an instrumental part of the process and we thank you.
Between our crowdfunding efforts and matching from outside private funds, our caring communities raised a total of $14,851 in support of the hardest-hit Bay Area and New York City hospitals. These funds were used to provide 5,000 face shields and 1,200 masks to frontline medical workers in need. It couldn’t have happened without you!
We’d also like to give a special thanks to Ari Friedman, Sally Kwok, and Christina Murdock for their amazing dedication and talents in making this happen.
